ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Narcotics Court (ANC) in Rawalpindi on Saturday ordered to freeze the assets of former Secretary Health Khushnood Khan Lashari in the ephedrine quota case.
Lashari’s houses in Lahore and Islamabad will be seized after he failed to provide details of his assets to the court as was ordered on July 6.
Pharmaceutical Director Col (retd) Tahirul Wadood Lahoti, chief executive of Berlex Lab International Multan Iftikhar Khan Babar, and Director Rizwan Ahmed Khan’s properties will also be seized based on the same failure to submit answers to the court.
Meanwhile, family members of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Saturday submitted details of bank accounts of clients in the ANF court. However‚ Makhdoom Shahabuddin did not submit details of his assets.
Earlier today, Anti-Narcotics Court resumed hearing the ephedrine quota case.
According to accounts’ details, Musa Gilani has Rs. 10,53,164 in his account, Abdul Qadir Gilani has Rs. 4,44,138 and Fauzia Gilani has only Rs. 27,226 in her account.
The hearing was adjourned till July 30.
