ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) would install pre-fabricated structure rooms and introduce modern facilities in its motels located in Gilgit-Baltistan very soon, the Managing Director PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the managing director PTDC said that Ski Resort would also be set up at Naltar for which the Gilgit-Baltistan government has already allotted space of 30 kanal to PTDC.
The MD PTDC said that in the past, Gilgit-Baltistan was neglected but the present government is committed to develop it into an International Hub for business and tourism setting an example for rest of the world he said.
Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that an agreement on tourism cooperation has already been signed between the PTDC and Northern Areas Transport Corporation (NATCO), and both the organizations would further enhance their relations to strengthen the Country.
Keeping in view the tourist flow this year, it is not difficult to predict that soon Gilgit Baltistan will be a hub of domestic and international tourists, he said.
The managing director PTDC said that the Corporation would also make efforts for participation in the major tourism exhibitions of the world including ITB Fair to represent from the federal level.
Ghafoor expressed hope that PTDC would continue its role for promotion and development of tourism in the Country.
