ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said the government firmly believed in strengthening the armed forces to wipe-out terrorism from the country and to confront external threats and challenges.
He was talking to the Chief of Air Staff who called on him Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman at the PM House in Islamabad.
The matters pertaining to Pakistan Air Force were discussed during the meeting.
Appreciating the role of Pakistan Air Force, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said contributions of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in the ongoing military offensive operation Zar-e-Azb were commendable.
He said the crucial role of Pakistan Air Force in the country’s biggest military offensive against terrorism was decisive in defeating the terrorists.
He said it was only possible due to the highest professional standards maintained by the Pakistan Air Force.
The Chief of Air Staff apprised the Prime Minister on the professional preparedness and other related issues.
