ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government under its Ehsaas Program to alleviate poverty has launched the ‘Ehsaas Ration Program’ through which underprivileged or needy people will register themselves for the procurement of food-related items.
Likewise, financially well-off people or organizations will also enroll themselves by filling a registration form at the same platform to help the people looking for any financial assistance for food.
In the registration form, both the deserving people seeking food rations and the donors will have to provide their basic information i.e name, CNIC no, mobile number, number of family members, and residential address.
If an applicant doesn’t receive the ration within four days after he/she applied for that, he/she will require to send an SMS to 4471 mentioning his/her name, address, CNIC number and phone number.

The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar said that the Ehsaas Ration Distribution Platform will be accessible through Facebook and will connect people wanting to donate food rations with those in need.
Dr Sania Nishtar said that in the platform, individuals in need of food rations and those willing to donate will be able to register. She said that once the donor registration is confirmed, a list of those seeking food rations will become visible to the donor.
