ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Friday said the Supreme Courts of Pakistan’ verdict over Hudaibya Paper Mills Case was a victory of Judiciary’s prestige.
Talking to media in Islamabad, Talal Chaudhry said from the Supreme Court’s judgement in Hudaibya Case, the institutions must learn to stay away from the politics.
The minister said those had been the political cases which couldn’t be proceeded even in Musharraf era.
Earlier the Supreme Court dismissed NAB’s plea for re-opening of three years old Hudaibya Paper Mills Case, terming it time barred.
The verdict was announcement by the head of a three-member bench Justice Mushir Alam in one liner Short Order in a plea challenging the Lahore High Court’s (LHC) verdict regarding closing of the Hudaibya Paper Mills reference.
The detailed judgment would be announced later mentioning reasons for dismissing the plea.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said they had reservations regarding NAB’s prosecution from the first day.
“I have already said that Hudaibya Paper Mills Case will not succeed,” Fawad Chaudhry said today while talking to media to media outside the Supreme Court building.
The PTI Spokesperson said NAB was non-serious in Hudaibya Papers Mills Case as the basic document was not attached. He said NAB had been telling the Supreme Court that Nawaz Sharif was exiled.
Talking about the upcoming verdict in Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen disqualification Case, Fawad Chaudhry said both the PTI leaders gave money trail of every single penny.
