ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In a bid to ensure the quality of education in all public sector schools working under Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), Area Education Officers (AEOs) in the Federal Capital have been provided tablets to monitor the attendance of teachers.
It was stated by the Parliamentary Secretary for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Maiza Hameed while talking to the state-run news agency in Islamabad.
Maiza Hameed told that tablets were provided by CADD under Prime Minister Education Reforms Programme (PMERM). She said through these tablets, AEOs would also monitor the students’ attendance besides teachers.
Maiza said by utilizing modern technology under PMERM, CADD would ensure the 100 percent attendance of the government school teachers and students in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
The Parliamentary Secretary for CADD said that Prime Minister Education Reforms Programme was being executed successfully in the Federal Capital.
Maiza Hameed said the upgradation of Islamabad’s 22 schools and colleges had been completed under Phase I while 200 public sector schools of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) under Phase-II of the reforms programme would be upgraded in September 2017.
Moreover, she said the PC-I for phase-III of the reforms programme would be finalised in next two months under which remaining 200 schools would be upgraded achieving the task of total 422 schools’ renovation.
