QUETTA, Pakistan: An improvised explosive device (IED) planted by militants on a motorcycle parked on the Mall Road in Balochistan’s Chaman area went off on Monday, injuring at least four persons.
The blast occurred when a vehicle of the security forces was passing through the area, a police official Niamatullah told media. However, the security forces’ vehicle escaped the attack but four passersby sustained injuries.
The blast also damaged the glasses of nearby shops on the road.
The injured persons were immediately shifted to Civil Hospital Chaman for medical treatment while the security personnel launched an investigation into the incident.
