ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz has said that the Islamabad Health Regulatory Authority (IHRA) and the Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC) must join hands for implementation of minimum healthcare standards and developing Star rating regime for hospitals and labs.

While talking to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) IHRA Quaid Saeed in Islamabad on Thursday, the minister emphasized that the provision of quality healthcare is the basic right of the people.

Shibli Faraz highlighted that standardisation of the healthcare sector will also lead towards promotion of medical tourism in the Country.

The minister stressed that the PNAC and the IHRA must work in collaboration to create awareness and organize trainings in this regard.
