PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The President of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi met Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman at Governor House in Peshawar on Tuesday and discussed the matter of opening a branch of the IIUI in the province.
The governor agreed upon the suggestion and said that soon a meeting shall be held to decide a site to be endowed to the University for the Branch. He said that it will be a priority to provide a serene site for building a branch of IIUI.
The governor KPK and IIUI president agreed that a Sub-campus of the university will help in promoting quality education as well as it will to fulfill the needs of higher studies for the youth.

The IIUI president, while mentioning the importance of the educational institutions in the society and their long constructive impact in society building, mentioned the name of Madrid University (of which he is an Alumnus) that the ones who established it, their efforts have resulted in service of a large number of societies for centuries. He said that same is the purpose of the Campus of the IIUI in the province so that it may appear as a hub of best quality education for the youth in the future.
During the meeting, issues related to education such as research and academic excellence were also discussed.
Both the dignitaries agreed to boost academic cooperation between the IIUI and KPK universities.
They also discussed the importance of quality education and the role of universities in society building.
The IIUI president briefed the governor KPK on the university’s vision, future plans, and strategy for academic excellence.
The IIUI president said that the International Islamic University will be keen to enhance its bilateral ties with the universities of KPK.
The meeting was also attended by the IIUI Vice President Professor Dr. N..B. Jumani.
On the occasion, while appreciating the role of the IIUI in society building and services, the governor assured of maximum cooperation to promote quality education. He said universities must promote the exchange of experiences through mutual cooperation.
Talking about bilateral relations, the KPK governor said that Pakistan gave great importance to relations with Saudi Arabia as both are time-tested friends. He added that brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia go back decades and those are getting stronger with every passing day.
