ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan is consistently apprising the world that Kashmir is a flashpoint and its immediate and permanent solution is prerequisite for regional peace and stability.
In a statement on Monday, Qureshi said that Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute.
The foreign minister said that India has been violating the basic human rights of the Kashmiri people over a long period of time.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi also regretted that India has not reciprocated to peace overtures of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Further, the foreign minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination for peace and stability in the region.
The minister said that the International Community acknowledges the role played by Pakistan to facilitate the Afghan peace process.
