NEW DELHI, India: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan held a meeting with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday and invited the later to visit Pakistan.

The meeting took place as Imran Khan reached New Delhi earlier in the day to attend a conference where he will speak on Pak-India relations.

During their bilateral meeting, both Imran and Modi welcomed recent developments in Pak-India relations and expressed hope that these would lead to closer cooperative ties between the two countries.

Imran Khan also invited the Indian prime minister to visit Pakistan, according to the India Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup.

The PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and the party spokesman Naeem-ul Haq were also accompanying Imran Khan in the meeting.

Meanwhile talking to media, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the meeting between the two leaders remained positive and they also discussed Pak-India Cricket Series.

Qureshi said that the attitude of Narendra Modi was positive, cool and calm. He said that thinking of the Indian prime minister is changing.

The Imran-Modi meeting which took place at the invitation of the Indian prime minister followed a recent agreement between Pakistan and India under which, the two countries decided to resume the dialogue process to discuss and sort out all their outstanding issues under the new name “Comprehensive Bilateral Dialogue Process.”
