ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday announced to observe “Yaum-e-Tashakur” tomorrow at Parade ground in Islamabad after Supreme Court of Pakistan sought Terms of Reference (TORs) from both PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to probe Panama Papers.
Talking to PTI workers outside his residence in Bani Gala on Tuesday afternoon, Imran Khan said that we would gather one million people from the whole Pakistan at the Parade ground and expressed our gratitude to Almighty Allah.
“I am happy to know that Supreme Court has announced to start investigation of PM Nawaz Sharif from the day after tomorrow,” Imran Khan.
“I invite everyone to Parade Ground at 2 pm,” Imran Khan said.
The PTI Chief said that Lahore High Court (LHC) and Islamabad High Court (IHC) had also issued orders to remove all containers from roads and free all PTI workers from jails.
“I announce to observe Thanksgiving Day at Parade Ground tomorrow,” he said.
Imran Khan further said that if a single PTI worker was found martyred due to intensive shelling by Punjab police, they would launch a FIR against Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.
Earlier in the day, a five-member bench of Supreme Court sought TORs from PML-N and PTI to form a Commission that would investigate the allegations surfaced against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members in Panama leaks.
In his remarks, the Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali asked both the government and the opposition to exercise restraint and also said that the Commission would enjoy equal powers as the Supreme Court had.
