ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has emphasised greater regional cooperation to eradicate violence and extremism.
Talking to the Commander in Chief of the Islamic Military Counterterrorism Coalition (IMCTC) General (retd) Raheel Sharif who met him in Islamabad on Tuesday and exchanged views on regional peace and stability besides discussing matters of mutual interest, the prime minister reiterated his commitment to bring enduring peace and stability in Pakistan while supporting all peace initiatives for regional peace.
The prime minister appropriated the IMCTC charter for its efforts towards counter violent extremism.

Earlier in the day, General (retd) Raheel Sharif also met the Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Islamabad and discussed regional peace and stability.
Raheel Sharif apprised the foreign minister about the measures taken by the alliance against terrorism.
