Monitoring Desk: The interview of Imran Khan with Times Radio broadcasted on July 1, 2023, started with lies and ended with lies.

The host/ presenter while giving an introduction to her show categorically claimed that Imran Khan had been arrested by the military. Had he ever been arrested by the military? It may be remembered that Imran Khan was arrested by Pakistan Rangers that is a paramilitary force working under the civilian administration of the Ministry of Interior government of Pakistan the Rangers were called by the Civil Administration of Islamabad to help local police because Khan’s followers had been ransacking and attacking police in past.

This was the second special show with Imran Khan of Times Radio in the last 40 days. Moreover, Times Radio also ran a special interview of Imran Khan on March 31, 2023, therefore it was his third interview of Imran in the last three months. In all three interviews, Imran Khan repeated the same claims that the establishment wanted to kill him although he failed to produce any evidence in support of his allegations when he was questioned by a Joint Investigative Team recently.

At the beginning of his interview with Times Radio, Imran Khan claimed that there were two assassination attempts on him. Had there been two assassination attempts on him? Even the one alleged attack he encountered is extremely controversial and still under interrogation. The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report raised several serious questions and led to a perception that this attempt could have been a false flag raised by someone from PTI itself). There had never been a second attack on him as he claimed in the interview and the interviewer was not ready to ask Imran Khan when and where he was attacked a second time.

He also claimed that there had not been any case against him in the past and all cases against him were registered after he was voted out from the PM Office. Yes, there was no case against Imran Khan on moral corruption in Pakistan because the Pakistani military establishment had been protecting him as its “prime asset” for a long but one must not forget a verdict of a US court against him on his moral corruption and that was the case about the undeclared daughter. In this case, his ex-girlfriend demanded justice from him for accepting his daughter from her who is still an undeclared child of Imran Khan. Sita White also claimed before her death that Imran Khan asked him for an abortion when he came to know that she was pregnant with a baby girl. She claimed she rejected Khan’s advice.

According to a story in the Associated Press, the Los Angles verdict was delivered after Imran Khan’s ex-girlfriend Sita White had filed a paternity suit against Imran. Sita, daughter of late billionaire Lord White of Hull, pleaded in her petition that the blood tests had proved that Imran Khan was the father of her daughter.

One can comment safely that media ethics are mostly forgotten by foreign media that avoids contesting wrong information provided by him and bows down in front of Imran Khan

In her court deposition, Sita alleged that Khan’s response, upon learning that it was a girl, was of regret and distress, asserting that the child would not be able to play Cricket. Before the Log Angeles Court verdict, Imran Khan had rejected Sita White’s claim as a white lie, stating: “I have never been involved in any affair of any sort with the lady”. But the fact remains that Sita White, who lived in Beverly Hills, had a relationship with Imran Khan in 1987-88.

According to Sita’s claim, when they had first met again in Los Angeles on October 2, 1991, she told Imran Khan that she wanted to have his baby, to which he had happily agreed. However, according to Sita, as it transpired that the child was a girl, Imran Khan had urged her to have an abortion, but she refused to do so. Tyrian Jade was born on June 15, 1992, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, yet Imran Khan had disowned her. One can observe that Western media mostly avoids asking him questions that are directly linked to his habit of providing untrue information to everybody —from a court of law to the public.  It looks the majority of Western Think Tanks, media houses, and discussion groups are fighting a crusade standing along with Imran Khan against the state institutions of Pakistan. Recently, in one of the articles published on May 26, 2023, at Brookings Institution, titled “Pakistan’s always-troubled democracy is on the brink once again” the writer urged “Pakistan’s international friends to help Pakistani leaders reach an agreement on a roadmap for achieving this objective”.

The writer was of the view that the Biden administration, should stand in favor of democracy in Pakistan, the rule of law, and the supremacy of its constitution, all of which, according to the author, are currently under threat.

The writer also urged that the Biden administration “should explicitly speak up against violations of the rule of law and the country’s constitution — especially against the idea that civilians may be tried in military courts in the country — and in support of free, fair, and on-time elections in Pakistan this year”.

Interestingly, a number of foreigners whose services were hired by the Khan government in the past for certain assignments are now standing with Imran Khan and the majority of them are from the Middle East, United States, United Kingdom, Türkiye, and Canada.

In his interview with CNN Imran Khan said there was a Pakistan Army raid on his Lahore residence. In his interview with Aljazeera Imran Khan said that he was abducted by the army from Islamabad High Court. This is the diction he always uses by calling his arrest an abduction and calling Rangers as Army. This is his style of public discourse and he would continue to lie to the world but the responsibility lies on the government to tell the world what is truth. Khan is portraying the world that he is a liberal, rightful, and honest person who is fighting against anti-democratic elements.

While giving interviews to foreign media, Imran Khan claimed that he is an honest and straightforward person and he also claimed that 25 people were killed and more than 700 injured while attacking state buildings on May 9, 2023, but he is not sharing any list of dead and injured while independent media and government circles are giving the figure of 9 dead and 76 injured.

In a recently published article, the writer claims that the manipulation of events and spreading lies about situations are an art, and not everybody can be as skillful and successful as some people who are born with this talent. Imran Khan is one of the most charismatic liars of contemporary human history.

One can comment safely that media ethics are mostly forgotten by foreign media that avoids contesting wrong information provided by him (even knowing that he is providing wrong information) and bows down in front of Imran Khan who had been granted full support to share fabricated information with foreign viewers, readers and listeners.

In the Times Radio interview, Imran Khan confirmed that some media people who ran away country were his “guys”. He stated that “five or six of our media guys have left the country”. He also claimed that the Pakistan government was supporting Ukraine although Pakistan had decided to keep itself away from the Ukraine crisis and Russia is importing wheat and oil to Pakistan, calling Islamabad a “reliable country”. Moreover, Pakistan refrained from voting on Ukraine’s issue whenever it came to United Nations Security Council.

Is it not the duty of state institutions of Pakistan responsible for media management to contest such events with foreign media and like the host of Times Radio who provided extremely untrue information that Imran Khan had been arrested by the military?
