PoliticsImran warns of blocking NATO supplies after Nov 20

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan warned on Monday that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would block the NATO supplies after November 20 if the federal government failed to pursue the US to end drone strikes that sabotage peace talks.

Imran was taking part in the National Assembly’s debate over emerging situation in the aftermath of Pakistani Taliban Chief Hakimullah Mehsud’s killing in the US drone attack in the restive North Waziristan tribal area.

The PTI chief warned the US to stop launching drone strike on Pakistan’s territory and vowed to block the NATO supplies after November 20 if the United States continued to do so.

Imran also appealed to all political parties to sink their differences and come on the same page to give an effective response to the situation arising out of drone strikes and attempts to spoil dialogue process with the Taliban.

Imran Khan said the drone attack before initiation of peace talks was a proof that the US did not want peace in the country.

Moreover, he said that despite all political differences, he was ready to reconcile with Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
