ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah Tuesday said that the decision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan to withdraw the call of locking down the Federal Capital had strengthened the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led federal government.
Talking to media persons in his chamber at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Tuesday, Khursheed Shah said that when the PTI workers were being thrashed on the streets, its Chief was sleeping in his luxurious residence of Banigala.
Khursheed Shah said that Imran Khan was in the habit of backing out from his statements which is considered dangerous in politics as “this practice disappoints workers who keep great expectations from their leaders.”
“We always talk about the Parliament as the PPP believes that all the decisions should be made in the Parliament which is a prestigious institution of the country,” the PPP leader added.
