New Delhi, India: India launches Tourist Visa on Arrival (TVOA). The Indian Minister of Home Affairs, Government of India Rajnath Singh inaugurated Tourist Visa on Arrival (TVOA) here on Thursday. This facility is available to people from 43 countries.

No country of Central Asia in included in the list while Pakistani living abroad are not allowed to use this facility.

The facility will be available at nine airports namely Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi &Goa. TVoA will allow entry into India within 30 days from the date of approval and will be valid for 30 days stay in India.

TVoAs can be used to visit India for recreation, sightseeing, short duration medical treatment, business visit, to meet friends/ relatives

The list of countries that can enjoy TVOA include:

Australia,Brazil,Cambodia,Cook Islands,Djibouti, Fiji, Finland, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kiribati, Laos, Luxembourg, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia, Myanmar, Nauru, New Zealand, Niue Island, Norway, Oman, Palau, Palestine, Papua New Guinea,Philippines, Republic of Korea, Russia, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Thailand,Tonga,Tuvalu,UAE,Ukraine,USA,Vanuatu,Vietnam.

Eligibility list indicates:
International Travellers whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation , sight seeing , casual visit to meet friends or relatives, short duration medical treatment or casual business visit.
Passport should have at least six months validity.
International Travellers should have return ticket or onward journey ticket,with sufficient money to spend during his/her stay in India.
International Travellers having Pakistani Passport or Pakistani origin may please apply for regular Visa at Indian Mission.
Not available to Diplomatic/Official Passport Holders.

According to  Indian Minister of Home Affairs, Government of India Rajnath Singh inaugurated TVOA will increase tourism jobs in India and ruling party BJP has taken this step to start TVOA to expand tourism industry in the country through this latest initiative.
