RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Indian troops once again carried out unprovoked firing in Zafarwal Sector along the Working Boundary on Monday morning; however no loss of life or damage was reported yet.

In a statement, the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) said that Indian troops carried out unprovoked firing in Zafarwal Sector today at 08:30 hrs.

The ISPR said that Pakistan Rangers Punjab responded effectively and silenced the guns of enemy.

It was the second ceasefire violation within a few days as on February 2, the Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing in Khanjar Sector at the Line of Control (LoC) which was silenced through effective response by Pakistani troops.

Earlier on January 31, Pakistan army warned India against any military misadventure and said that our desire for peace should not be construed as our weakness.

“Pakistan is ready to face any aggression,” the Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said while talking to media in Rawalpindi.
