NEW DELHI: Four Indian police officers gang-raped a woman at a police station in Hamirpur district of northern state of Uttar Pradesh where she went to seek her husband’s release.
The woman said that she went to the police station for the release of her husband. But when she refused to pay a bribe to secure the release of her husband, she was attacked and gang-raped by four officers inside the police station.
A police official from Hamirpur said that the victim has filed a complaint and the guilty will be arrested soon while, according to another police officer, a criminal case has been lodged against four officers from the station.
