RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Once again Indian troops committed ceasefire violation at the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday which result in injuries to three Pakistani Civilians including two women, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

In a statement issued in Rawalpindi on Saturday, the ISPR said that the unprovoked firing by the Indian troops took place at LoC in Karela, Kotkoterra, Khuiratta, Sabzkot, Baroh, Tandar and Khanjar Sectors.

The ISPR said that three Civilians of Sohana Village in Kotkoterra Sector including Haji Muhammad Younis S/O Abdul Aziz, Rehana Bibi W/O Muhammad Asif and Samina Begum W/O Tufail Mughal suffered injuries.

The ISPR said that Pakistani troops befittingly responding to Indian unprovoked firing.

Moreover, it said that following the Indian firing, an exchange of fire erupted at 0700 hours which still continues.

Another ceasefire violation at the LoC from the Indian Side took place despite the fact the Foreign Office in Islamabad on May 11 summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P. Singh, and conveyed Pakistani condemnation over killing of a Civilian and injuring of two others as a result of Indian firing at LoC on May 10 night.

The Indian side was urged to respect the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding; investigate this and other incidents of ceasefire violations; instruct the Indian forces to respect the ceasefire, in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC.
