NEW DELHI, India: An Indian woman kept on peeing in the teapot of her parents-in-law for a year over their attempts to control her relationship with her husband.
The 30-year-old Rekha Nagvanshi, a resident of Indore district in central India’s Madhya Pradesh State, tied the knot with 34-year-old Deepak. However, she decided to live with her parents because she was not happy with her arranged marriage.
Later, Deepak persuaded Rekha to live with him since they had a four-year-old daughter. Resultantly, Rekha agreed with conditions that household chores like cooking and cleaning would be done by her husband. In addition, Deepak would also massage her feet.
However, Rekha’s parents-in-law Suraj and Ajith, aged 60 and 55 years respectively, after they came to know about this tried to stop their son from abiding by the conditions his wife had put forth. In response, Rekha got annoyed with her parents-in-law and decided to avenge their attempts.
A year later, Rekha was caught red-handed when her mother-in-law Suraj entered the kitchen and found her squatting over the teapot.
“We used to go and visit them once or twice a week. And although we knew she didn’t like us we had no idea she was doing this. She always smiled and offered us tea and we accepted. But one day I went into the kitchen and found her urinating into the teapot,” Rekha’s mom-in-law said.
Rekha’s parents-in-law are demanding justice.
“You cannot urinate into someone’s tea for a year and get away with it. We want justice,” Rekha’s mom-in-law said.
