ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed has said nobody should raise objection to the Supreme Court (SC) verdict regarding presidential election’s schedule.

He said several PPP members would also get benefit from change of election date. He expressed the hope that the PPP would take part in presidential election.

Talking to newsmen in Islamabad‚ he said due to 27th of Ramazan and special prayers it was difficult to vote on that day.

The minister said Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) will not take part in voting process during no confidence motion in the AJK assembly. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has issued directives in this regard. He said that only the masses should have the right to remove the governments through the power of ballot.

Pervez Rasheed said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was being provided its due share of electricity and Peshawar Electric Supply Company chief has admitted this fact. However‚ he said there was need to improve power distribution system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that the government has ended the circular debt within a month‚ which has resulted in improvement in power generation.
