LAHORE, Pakistan: The former Pakistan Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has tendered his resignation as the Chief Selector of Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team amidst all the controversy surrounding Pakistan Cricket.
Inzamam-ul-Haq was appointed as the Chief Selector on August 07, 2023.
Reportedly, he has forwarded his resignation to the Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Zaka Ashraf.
His resignation came after an alleged WhatsApp message of Pakistan Cricket Team Captain Babar Azam with the PCB Chief Operating Officer (COO) Salman Naseer was aired on media in which he was dismissing the news of making any phone call to Zaka Ashraf.
How are you showing this private chat on television? 👎👎👎 #CWC23 #INDvENG pic.twitter.com/MV0v0UEj6h

The airing of the message on TV received a severe backlash from former cricketers, noting that even if it was authentic screenshot of the said chat, yet since it was a private message, it should haven’t been made public.
Earlier, the former Captain Rashid Latif had alleged in a sports program that not only the cricketers hadn’t been paid for the last five months but also the Chairman PCB hadn’t been responding to Babar Azam’s phone calls.
