The advisor said that an elected government was overthrown in Yemen. He termed terrorism as a threat to the entire world and also said that sectarian tension can destabilize the whole world.

Earlier, media citing the official sources reported that the Iranian Foreign Minister Muhammad Javed Zarif will be in Islamabad on April 8.

The official sources said that Iran is believed to be concerned over reports that Pakistan is all set to join the Saudi-led military alliance against Houthi rebels in Yemen.

However, according to Pakistani government officials, they have not taken such decision yet.

On Friday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif undertook a day-long visit to Turkey and during his discussion with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu, both sides agreed to work together for a peaceful resolution of the crisis in Yemen.

In a joint press conference after their meeting in Ankara, both the prime ministers voiced concern over the overthrow of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi’s government.

In his address, Nawaz Sharif termed the situation in Yemen “grave” and cautioned that the crisis might endanger unity of Muslim Ummah which would have implications for the whole region.
