ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Iran’s inclusion in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and peace in Afghanistan will benefit every Country of the region.
In a statement on Friday, the foreign minister said that this is a jolt for India, and the opposition is criticizing the Indian government.
The foreign minister said that several Indian troops were killed and injured in a clash with China. He said that there is a tension between India and Nepal, and India-Bangladesh relationship warmth has also reduced.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that India wanted to isolate Pakistan but it itself has been isolated.
The minister said that Pakistan provided India consular access to its spy Kulbhushan Jadhav yesterday but the Indian diplomats avoided talking to him. He said that India’s ill intentions have been exposed as it did not want access to its spy.
Separately in a Twitter message, Shah Mahmood Qureshi has told that he has now tested negative for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and visited his office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad to perform his Official assignments.
Qureshi expressed gratitude to the people for extending best wishes and support to him while he was battling the virus.
The foreign minister also paid tribute to the healthcare and frontline workers for their efforts against COVID-19.
Thank you all for your good wishes and support. I am fortunate to be back in office today post #COVID. I pay tribute to Pakistan’s healthcare and frontline workers for being our backbone in the fight against this pandemic with unyielding commitment and dedication. I salute you.
