ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ambassador of the State of Qatar Sheikh Sauod bin Abdulrahman bin Faisal Al-Thani called on the Federal Minister for Finance & Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar at Finance Division in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The finance minister welcomed the ambassador and extended the best wishes to the people and leadership of the State of Qatar.

Ishaq Dar highlighting the long-standing mutual relations between both brotherly Countries, shared that present government is pursuing various reforms for providing greater facilitation to investors and businesses in Pakistan.

The minister also apprised about the available lucrative investment opportunities in various sectors of Pakistan and welcomed Qatar Investment Authority’s plans to invest US$ 3 billion in various commercial and investment sectors in Pakistan.

The Qatari ambassador extended felicitations to the finance minister on joining the Finance Ministry and reciprocated the warm and welcoming sentiments with the finance minister.

The envoy shared the intention of Qatar’s government for investment in various sectors of Pakistan especially in energy, trade and businesses for further strengthening the bilateral economic ties between both of the countries.

The Finance Minister Ishaq Dar while welcoming the investment proposals assured the ambassador of his all-out full support and cooperation.
