In a twitter message, ISIS explained how it managed to break security and enter mosque where security forces performed Nimaz (prayer). 17 security officials killed in this attack while 22 are seriously injured. The attacker blew himself off after entering the mosque during the early afternoon in the city of Abha, the provincial capital, which is southeast of holy city of Mecca.

Saudi securities are expecting more attacks and arresting people having links with ISIS. In July, Saudi Arabia said it arrested 431 suspected members of IS and prevented attacks on mosques, security forces and a diplomatic mission.

The raids by authorities were initiated after a series of attacks against security forces and a minority Shiite community, which IS supporters claim to have carried out.
