ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday resumed the suo motu hearing of the Islamabad district courts attack, during which two investigation reports of the administration and single-member judicial commission were submitted in the court.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jilani was hearing the case.
During the hearing, two investigation reports of the administration and single-member judicial commission about the attack on district courts in F-8 area of Islamabad were submitted in the apex court.
The apex court directed the President Islamabad High Court Bar to submit his recommendations following going through the investigation reports.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till Wednesday.
On March 3, militants stormed the Islamabad district courts, killing at least 11 persons including additional session judge Rafaqat Awan and injuring 29 others. The Ahrarul Hind, a lesser-known splinter group of the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), claimed the responsibility for the attack.
