ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration has imposed fine to the tune of Rs. 6.835 million during raids on food outlets to check standard and hygiene conditions of food items last year.

During the year, the relevant authorities conducted 330 inspections and sealed 86 premises providing sub-standard food items.

Sources at the Federal Ministry of Interior on Saturday said that the authorities also arrested 87 violators and sent 249 chaIlans to courts during the period.
