ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Islamabad Police has decided to conduct fresh survey in all jurisdictions of its police stations to get first-hand information about the tenants or others residing in various areas and also to know about their background.
The decision to this effect was made by SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani on Wednesday in pursuance of National Action Plan (NAP) and all Zonal SPs was directed to start this exercise immediately.
The SSP Islamabad directed all police officials to conduct survey in their respective areas and gather information about all the persons residing in their respective jurisdictions.
He said complete information should be maintained about the history of people permanently or temporarily residing there.
Following these directions, SP (City) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh had finalized Performa for collecting first- hand information about tenants in the areas of Secretariat, Bhara Kau, Aabpara and Kohsar police stations.
All relevant information about tenants including their names, father’s name, house number, street number, sector, CNIC number, mobile number, members of family persons, reason to stay in Islamabad, name of landlord and his complete address would be maintained in it.
Police had also appealed all land-lords to cooperate and submit the required details about their tenants and domestic servants.
Strict action would be initiated in case of non-compliance by the land-lords or reluctance to submit required information about tenants.
The SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani said that purpose of this exercise was to keep high vigilance against criminal elements and make Islamabad more safe.
He said information about tenants would be gathered by their respective police stations and directed other zonal SPs to start this process at earliest.
