ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The first ever Mayor of Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC), Sheikh Anser Aziz and three deputy Mayors Chaudhry Reffat Javed, Zeeshan Shah and Muhammad Azam Khan took oath here on Friday at convention centre.

The District and Session Judge Iram Niazi administered oath from elected Mayor and deputy Mayors.

Minister for CADD Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Asif Kirmani, MNA Malik Ibrar, MD Pakistan Baitul Mall Abid Waheed Sheikh and Chairman of UCs have participated the oath taking ceremony.

It is pertinent to mentioned here that elections of a Mayor and three deputy mayors were held on February 15.

The various departments of CDA including its staff would be transferred to Metropolitan Corporation for smooth working of IMC.

The Mayor will get the benefits equal to the grad 20 official while the deputy Mayors at par with grade 19 officials.
