ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) have launched a special campaign during which electronic equipment will be installed free of charge in vehicles besides educating the motorists about road safety and traffic rules.
Lights, speed meters, indicators, side mirrors and other electronic devices in citizens’ vehicles would also be installed free of charge during the campaign.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) ITP Malik Matloob Ahmed has formally inaugurated the campaign here on Monday.
Special squad of ITP education teams have been established to educate people about road safety and traffic rules in various areas of the city including F-8 Exchange, Garden Avenue, Karachi Company Chowk, Tarnol, Bharakau and Aabpara Chowk, to protect the lives and property of citizens.
The people would also be apprised about the harms of violation of various traffic rules including the use of tinted glasses on vehicles.
