LAHORE, Pakistan: The Chief of Jamiat Ahle Hadith (JAH) Senator Professor Sajid Mir on Monday asked his supporters to vote for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in upcoming general elections 2018.
Talking to media in Lahore along with the former Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Sajid Mir said that religio-political parties are being backed and brought on one platform to dent the vote of PML-N.
It is worth mentioning here that Sajid Mir’s Jamiat Ahle Hadith is part of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) – an alliance of six religious parties – which also includes Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan (JUP), and Tehreek-i-Islami (TI).
However, Sajid Mir today announced to vote against his own alliance – MMA.
Sajid Mir was of the view that not a single Candidate of MMA in Punjab is in a position to win the election from his Constituency.
The Chief of JAH clarified that his party is not part of any game to make a dent on the vote bank of PML-N. He asked the supporters of Jamiat Ahle Hadith to cast their votes on July 25 in favour of Candidates fielded by PML-N throughout Pakistan including in Lahore.
