SocialJDC Daster Khawan – a symbol of intersect harmony

KARACHI, Pakistan: In what appears to be a great exponent of intersect/faith harmony and social services, the Karachi-based JDC Welfare Organization continues to organize free of cost Sehri and Iftar for the people irrespective of their belief, sect, religion and social status.

The Jafaria Disaster Management Cell (JDC) is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit and charitable organization, aiming at to ‘serve humanity without any discrimination and irrespective of cast, creed, religion and color.’

The JDC Daster Khawan named as “Daster Khawan Imam E Hassan” offers the people – whether destitute or financially well established – food in Sehri and Iftar throughout the Holy Month of Ramazan for nothing.

But the most inimitable phenomenon remains to be in JDC Daster Khawan is the provision of a place wherein religious differences are found extinct, and the people – from all walks of life and no matter to whom allegiance they have – feel honoured and gratified by the graciousness of the JDC.JDC Daster Khawan – a symbol of intersect harmony

Not only the people belonging to all sects or beliefs are offered free of cost food at JDC Daster Khawan, rather Deobandi, Barelvi, Shia or even Christian organizations also host Iftar and Sehri from the platform of JDC.

In a bid to cater the need of the people as they brace themselves to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, the JDC Welfare Organization also offers Eidi (money), free clothing and bangles etc, donated by Karachiites.

Here it is worth noting that “Daster Khawan Imam E Hassan” is organized throughout the year by the JDC, in which food is served from 12 pm to 9 pm.
