JI threatens to quit KPK government

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has threatened to quit the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government if its demands of including in the curriculum chapters regarding Islam and ideology of Pakistan, are not accepted.

In his address at a news conference in Peshawar, the JI provincial chief Professor Muhammad Ibrahim said that his party’s negotiations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are in progress against changes in the curriculum.

Ibrahim said that if our demands are not accepted, we will not hesitate to part ways with PTI.

The JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief said the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and that PTI should abandon stubborn attitude and resolve their differences on the issue amicably.
