THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, INDIA:Joint Indo-UAE anti-terrorism operation brought fruits for arresting four terrorists in India.

In a joint action of UAE and Indian authorities, four alleged supporters of Daesh (Islamic State for Iraq and Syria) have been nabbed in South India port city of Thiruvananthapuram on Monday September 15.

It may be mentioned that stratigic collaboration of India and UAE against terrorism was announced during Indian Prime Minister Modi state visit to United Arab Emirate in August this year.

According to Indian main stream media, four men alleged supporters of Islamic State (ISIS) were detained in Kerala at teir arrival from UAE at airports. They were deported from UAE over their alleged links with ISIS and their deportation was made possible due to Indian and UAE authorities joint collaboration. the terror group.

According to Indian authorities, two alleged terrorists were held at the Thiruvananthapuram airport and two from the Kozhikode airport on the night of Monday-Tuesday. Both alleged terrorists who are Muslims have been moved to unknown place for interrogation.

“We are verifying allegations, their background and their relations with extremists groups with Pakistan and India. Their arrests were made possible due to strategic partnership and to “co-ordinate efforts of UAE and India to fight radicalisation and misuse of religion by groups and countries for inciting hatred, perpetrating and justifying terrorism”, a high official of police when asked to comment over these arrests.

This is pertinent to mentioned that India and UAE signed anti-terrorism collaboration on August 17, 2015 at UAE and both countries decided to work together for dismantling of terrorism infrastructures and bringing terrorists to justice.

Anti-terrorists collaboration was included in a 31-point joint statement issued after talks between the UAE Crown Pince Prince Mohamed Bin Zayed AI Nahyan and Narendra Modi. intelligence-sharing and capacity building was also decided to defeat radicalisation and misuse of religion by groups and countries for inciting hatred and justifying terrorism for pursuing political aims.
