PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) would support any resolution proposed against drone strikes in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Assembly, the JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Monday.
After attending a meeting of the party’s parliamentary committee and its central Majlis-i-Amla, the JUI-F chief said while talking to newsmen that he did not speak with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif over negotiating with the Taliban.
He said that talks between the two parties over formation over coalition government were still in progress.
Fazl said that the PML-N was apprised of his party’s priorities and dispelled the ‘negative impression propagated in sections of the media’ regarding demands for cabinet and ministerial posts.
The JUI-F chief further said that the responsibility to nominate persons for the post of chief minister, speaker and deputy speaker in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s assembly was handed to the party’s provincial chapter of KPK.
