KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah announced on Wednesday Justice (retd) Zahid Qurban Alvi would be the caretaker chief minister of Sindh, adding that he was a neutral personality, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
The Sindh CM announced this after signing of the document regarding caretaker set up in the province along with opposition leader Sardar Ahmad.
Justice (retd) Alvi is expected to be sworn in as the caretaker chief minister on Thursday and the oath would be administered by Governor Dr Ishrat ul Ebad.
Meanwhile, the summary to hold elections for the Sindh Assembly has also been approved by the governor. Provincial assembly elections will be held on May 11 the same day as the general elections.
