KARACHI: The number of polio cases detected in the country during the current year has reached 84 and 7 in Karachi after one new polio case was detected on Friday in Pakistan’s largest and most populous metropolitan city.
The latest case of polio emerged in Landhi area of Karachi where a 22-month-old child was diagnosed with the polio virus.
In recent years, the polio vaccination teams have come under attack in the city by miscreants, therefore some parents showed reluctance to have their children administered polio drops.
