RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The former Information Minister Senator Pervez Rasheed on Friday said keeping Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Qamar Ul Islam and Hanif Abbasi deprived of freedom was an injustice.
Talking to media outside the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi where he reached to meet imprisoned Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders, Pervez Rasheed said all the PML-N workers had been trying to get their companions released.
Senator Pervez Rasheed also said the defiant PML-N leader and the former Interior Minister Chaudhry Ali Nisar could himself tell about his attempts to hold meeting with Nawaz Sharif. He said in electoral results, the people rejected Chaudhry Nisar.
Talking about the president’s appointment, Pervez Rasheed said PML-N hadn’t yet finalized any time, adding the consultation with allies over the issue was continuing.
Besides Pervez Rasheed, members of Sharif family and the PML-N leaders including Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Danial Aziz, Senator Chaudhry Tanveer and Lt. General (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch and Amin Ul Hasanat, also went to Adiala Jail to meet Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar.
While talking to media, Khawaja Asif said they had not been allowed to meet Nawaz Sharif in last two days but now today they were about to meet him.
Khawaj Asif said he would not discuss the issues of appointment of the president and anti-rigging movement with Nawaz Sharif.
