ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Khushhali Bank Limited has announced for opening two new branches in Punjab in order to further expanding it’s geographic spread for small business.
The bank was fulfilling the financing needs of more than 500,000 active borrowers through over 125 branches, of which 15 are dedicated to facilities to small business, said a statement here Wednesday.
The new branches of the bank were opened at Faisalabad and Lahore which had added more branches to its existing network aiming to deliver financial products and geared towards MSME business opportunities to customers.
Addressing the media, President Khushhali Bank Ghalib Nishtar said that in the last 15 years a large number of people have benefitted from microfinance and it is estimated that more than 4 million individuals have taken advantage of the microfinance services, and the number is fast growing.
Today, he said that Khushhali Bank has taken another step towards it’s goal to provide quality banking services to all underserved segments of Pakistan.
Our priority is and will remain development of society of Pakistan through expanding the outreach of micro, small, medium enterprise financing services in semi-urban and rural regions, he added.
He said that the bank was intended to further increase and deepen its presence and outreach by opening more branches, to benefit more people by its services.
Access by small business owners to financial services is an integral part of the national developmental agenda and KBL has the largest branch network spread across the country with an ever deepening market penetration of rural and urban markets through Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME) services, he remarked.
