PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has announced sponsoring 600 students of the province for Information Technology (IT) related education in China.

While addressing the inaugural ceremony of under 23 games of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Hayatabad sports complex Peshawar, the Chief Minister said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government established the rule of law and ensured merit based decision making in the province.

Khattak said that doing all this in a province hit heard by militancy and terrorism was not an easy task. However, his government was committed and took a number of visible steps to improve the situation and change the province, he remarked

Pervez Khattak congratulated the sport department for holding the festival and directed to give all facilities to the players participating in the festival. He assured full backing of his government to the sport department.

The KPK Chief Minister said that youth was the future of the nation and his government would provide everything within its reach to polish the talented player. He said that in the first steps his government was sponsoring 600 students for IT education in china which would be extended to one thousand students.

The Chief Minister reminded that his government inherited wrongs and bad governance in the province. Institutions were in total disarray, corruption was rampant and the people had lost hope in the system, he recalled and added that fortunately PTI was supported by the youth and his government within no time wrapped up the old system and replaced a new that started delivering.

Khattak said that the government focused on education and health and waged a Jihad against corruption.

“We had a plan that we implemented and gave a clear road to future,” he added.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government started the rehabilitation of the existing grounds and added 50 additional grounds. He said that his government has plan to build a ground in each Tehsil headquarters and hopefully it would succeed to complete 100 grounds soon.
