PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has evolved a comprehensive strategy to provide clean drinking water to the people of all the districts of the province in different phases.

In the first phase, the dwellers of Dera Ismail Khan, Lakki Marwat, Tank and Karak would be facilitated and water filtration plants and tube-wells would be installed in all the village councils of the districts.

This was revealed in a briefing of PHE Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa given to PTI Chairman Imran Khan at Bani Gala, Islamabad. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering (PHE) Shah Farman, WHO Country Head Dr. Michel Thieren, WHO Coordinators and high-ups of PHE Department were present in the briefing.

Secretary, Public Health Engineering Nizam-ud-Din and Superintending Engineer Behramand Khan gave detailed briefing to PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Imran Khan gave the task of completing the provision of potable water in the first phase to the aforementioned four districts of the province.
