PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to sack 20 officers over allegations of corruption.

According to sources, the provincial government has listed some 20 ‘corrupt’ high officials, adding that they would be removed from their offices following an approval by Chief Minister KPK Pervez Khattak.

The decision emerged a days after chief of PTI, which rules the province with its allies, Imran Khan said he is determined not to compromise on corruption in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

“I challenge everyone to prove corruption against me. I will not allow corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government…I will fulfill my promise of good governance and corruption-free administration,” he said in a statement while responding to allegations levelled by Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) which quitted the coalition government.
