PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Education, Muhammad Atif Khan has said that the provincial government was focusing on enhancing of teaching skills of teachers to get required results of the educational reforms initiated by the KPK government in the province.

The IT Education for the purpose would fully be utilized. This he stated while holding meeting with Intel Pakistan Corporation here Wednesday.

The meeting besides others, was also attended by the Additional Secretary Education Qaiser Alam and Business Development Manager Intel Ahmad Tahir Masood.

Intel Corporation on this occasion offered technical support of teachers training on modern lines which was accepted by the minister.

The Minister maintained that teachers were the backbone in education system, therefore, teachers of government schools would be given special training for bright future of the nation.

After training, performance of the teachers would regularly be monitored and those not performing well would be punished accordingly, he added.

Atif Khan said that ‘Ratta’ culture was the main reason behind our educational backwardness.

Therefore, it was dire need of the hour to do away with this culture in education system and introduce new trends to enhance the knowledge and creative skills of the students, he said.

He continued that 840 IT Labs in government schools would be completed by the end of current academic year and similarly recruitment for it would also be made.

He said that newly established IT Labs would be supervised online on daily basis and full data of use of these Labs would be available in the department.
