ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Pervez Khattak has said that the province was fully aligned with grand projects of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as well as also with every agenda of development.
“We may have a difference of opinion but all provinces and political parties are committed for common cause of economic uplift and development of Pakistan, he said this while addressing the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Summit and Expo organized by Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms here Monday.
Today, provincial government is ready for strategic alignment with CPEC for infrastructural development plans and opportunities for the province, he said. Our province is an integral part of the One-Belt One Road because of historical place on the Silk Road, he added.
Pervez Khattak said that CPEC would play important role for regional connectivity and connect the country with Afghanistan, Central Asian States, Iran and China to transform KPK as major trade hub. It’s a catalyst that will spur international investment and attract the international capital markets as an investment destinations for investors, he added.
Chief Minister KPK urged the Chinese investor to invest in the province, the provincial government to provide conducive environment for investment.
The province has abundant supplies of various minerals and natural resources that can be exploited on industrial scale. A lot of opportunities in Agri- Business, corporate farming, food processing, dairy, and livestock were also available in the province, he added.
On the occasion, Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said that his province have huge potential for production of energy for industrial development in the country.
He said that Pakistan has important geo- strategic position which give prominence to the CPEC for regional connectivity and economic up-lift of the country.
The province was about to use its natural gas and coal energy potential to be properly and systematically harnessed for the benefit of the people and development of the province.
