ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A 25-year old labourer was killed as a result of Cross Border Firing by the Indian forces in the Khuiratta Sector across the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday.

In a statement, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that labourer Ashfaq hailing from the village Tain was seriously injured in the Indian Cross Border Firing, and was taken to a Hospital for medical treatment.

However, later he succumbed to his injuries.

“Another innocent life lost to Indian irresponsible attitude,” the ISPR said.

The ISPR further said that Pakistani troops effectively responded to the Indian firing.

Following a brief pause, the Indian border forces recently once again began to open fire at the LoC and Working Boundary.

Last Monday, the Indian troops opened fire along the Working Boundary in Zafarwal Sector while prior to that, they did the same in Khanjar Sector on February 2.

However, luckily no casualty was reported on both previous occasions.
