Land Cruiser 2022 Unveiled
The new Land Cruiser 2022 is designed with a whole new vision. If we talk about the overall architecture, the new LC300 is based on Toyota’s New Global Architecture (GA-F platform) specifically designed for SUVs and pickup trucks. The new chassis is lighter in weight by 200Kgs as compared to the previous model. If we look into the dimensions, the new model is 196.5″ long, 78″ wide, and will have a wheelbase of 112.2 inches.
Exterior Details
The new architecture of Land Cruiser 2022 reflects a typically vertical and box-like outlook which makes it look huge and dominant as compared to the other SUV designs. You can find a wide slated grille on the front with LED headlights and integrated DRLs. The side-view mirrors are now on the door panels for improved visibility. If we look at the back, we can find a new tailgate rear bumper with LED taillights.
Interior Details
The overall interior design of LC300 is futuristic and driver-friendly. You can find a rugged interior structure encompassing the needs of a modern and dynamic interior. Unlike the complete touchscreen panels, the new Land Cruiser features a floating landscape-oriented tablet with a standard 9-inch infotainment screen with an option to choose 12.3-inch (upper variants).
Keeping in view the offroading experiences, Toyota has kept a lot of physical buttons to make it convenient for the driver as well as passengers to control options. You can also find Apple car play and android auto, and an optional JBL premium audio system with a sub-woofer. Moreover, an optional rear-seat media display will also be available. Performance Details
Initially, the company plans to launch two engine options: A3.5L /V35A-FTS Twin-Turbo V6 petrol, which makes 409HP & 650NM of torque, and a 3.3L / F33A-FTV Twi-Turbo V6 diesel engine capable of generating 304HP & massive 700NM of torque. Both the engines offer an improved performance delivery compared to the previous generation. All versions will be offered with 4×4. If we talk about the transmission, both petrol and diesel variants will feature a 10-speed automatic transmission.Â
Safety Features
The new Land Cruiser 2022 comes with multiple airbags (front, side, and curtain), Toyota Safety Sense feature, lane departure alert, automatic high beam, dynamic radar cruise control, Pre-collision warning with the pedestrian election, lane tracing assist, and road-sign assist. An added feature to the new LC300 is the collision avoidance feature. This safety option detects the oncoming vehicles and pedestrians at crossings and intersections to avoid accidents.
