ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The two-day Launch Conference of the Islamabad National University entitled “Emerging Challenges and Opportunities for Pakistan” organized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) concluded on Saturday at the former Prime Minister House in Islamabad.
The participants of the Conference emphasized the need to create capacities to capitalize on various opportunities, and accelerate efforts for knowledge creation through applied research and its sharing.

The Launch Conference of the Islamabad National University encompassed four thematic areas including governance, development, climate, and technology.
It was attended by a large number of field experts from across Pakistan as well as expatriate Pakistanis and foreign academicians and researchers.
The Chief Guest Dr. Sania Nishtar said that “a forward-looking academia will provide evidence based research solutions for policy formulation.”
The aim of the Conference was to gather best brains from within the Country and overseas to develop action agenda for thematic research.
In the Conference, parallel sessions on devolution, administrative efficiency, health, economic governance, energy, disaster management, ICT and cyber security were held.
