- Strongly condemns arrest of Shehryar Afridi’s brother
LAHORE, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that the landmark judgement by the Lahore High Court (LHC) in Shehryar Afridi’s Case granting him bail, further vindicated his stance that 9th May was a well-planned false flag operation with only one purpose to crush PTI.
In his Twitter statement on Monday, Imran Khan said: “Allah is Al Haq. After the judgement by Additional District and Session Judge Farrukh Fareed Baloch on 19th July regarding my involvement in a criminal case calling it “a ridiculous way to implicate a person in a criminal case clearly reflecting malifide and ulterior motive”, again this landmark judgement by LHC in Shehryar Afridi’s case granting him bail, further vindicates my stance and shows how 9th May was a well planned false flag operation with the full backing of a controlled media and state institutions only with one purpose, to crush PTI.”
Reacting to the detention of Shehryar Afridi’s elder brother, the PTI Chairman said that the blatant use of collective punishment to enforce reign of terror continues in Pakistan today.
“This time the victim is Farrukh Afridi, whose only crime is being a brother of PTI’s undaunted leader Shehryar Afridi,” he added.
Imran Khan stated that Farrukh was abducted from his residence last night, and was taken to an undisclosed location, his whereabouts still unknown.
“Meanwhile, Shehryar Afridi is slapped with another 3 MPO Case by DC (Deputy Commissioner) Rawalpindi,” he maintained.
The PTI Chairman said that in an increasingly desperate bid to suppress PTI, this regime is stooping to new abysmal lows each day, and there appears to be no respite in sight as law of the jungle prevails in the Country.
